Public canning classes will be closed for the Winter from December 19th to March 3rd, 2012.
I am currently looking for a new place to hold classes so, if you have a lead on affordable classroom space in the Seattle area, please let me know.
I am scheduling Private Canning Classes in the New Year.
Invite as many friends as your kitchen will accommodate, I will bring the food and the tools and teach you all the basics of Water Bath Canning. Cost for a Private Canning Class includes a copy of the Ball Blue Book and a Canning Tool Kit.
This 3 hour class will cover everything you need to know to preserve:
Tomatoes (sauce, paste, salsa, bruschetta, ketchup, etc)
Fruit (traditional canned fruit, fruit cocktail, apple sauce, etc.)
Jams & Jellies(traditional recipes, low-sugar options, apple butter, etc)
Quick Pickles(dilly green beans, pickled asparagus, cucumber pickles, hot sauces, etc.)

Custom Canning Classes are also available. If you want to learn to can specialty products such as Home Made Soup or canned meat--contact me to customize a class.
Daily Deal Vouchers: Groupon and other deal vouchers can be used toward the purchase of a Private Class.(Even if they are expired!)
